For some time now, I’ve been keeping plugged in to my friends’ coming, goings, in, outs, ups, and downs through both MySpace and Facebook. Over the past year, I have noted a clear upswing in the amount of traffic on Facebook (at least in my corner of the world). This has been mirrored by a big drop in activity on MySpace.
So I’m bailing. Yep, in another week or so, I’ll be closing out my MySpace page. Most of the people I’m in contact with there are also on FB, so I don’t feel as if I’m giving up much, but I am definitely taking a step towards simplifying my life, and such opportunities are to be treasured in this world. I’ve posted a message to this effect on MySpace, but I wanted to repeat it here just to make sure I got the word out.
