I Hear The Train a-Comin’ . . .

The Amtrak, that is. I’ll be on it Tuesday afternoon to visit family & friends for Thanksgiving. It’s been five years since I made it to Michigan for Turkey Day, on account of my involvement in Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding, so I’m pretty happy about this.

The first folks I’ll be seeing are Nina and Harry. No, they’re not a couple; but the three of us always have fun together, and that is entirely our intention this time around. The next day, they’ll hand me off to my friend Jim. He and I will take in the Detroit Lions’ T’day tilt against the Green Bay Packers. He’s a season ticket holder, so we’ll be about ten rows from the field, near the back corner of the end zone to your right as you watch the game on TV. We’re not the most photogenic guys in the world, so the camera may not be inclined to focus on us much, but maybe we’ll luck out and find ourselves next to some hot babes who do make the cut – so look for us, two big balding guys. Afterwards, Jim will drop me at my brother’s house for dinner.

I won’t be back until Sunday night, and I don’t know how much access I’ll have to this journal while I’m away, so let me here and now wish you all a wonderful holiday!
