OK, here’s something I just found out – today marks the 60th birthday (!) of musician Glenn Frey. So much for being a new kid in town. Best known for his work with the Eagles, Frey is a native of Detroit whose first brush with the charts goes all the way back to 1968 – he played guitar and sang backing vocals on Bob Seger’s recording of Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man. If you’re from Detroit (and old enough), you no doubt remember that one, though it peaked way higher on the Detroit charts than on the national ones. Happy Birthday, Mr. Frey!
