It’s Not Too Late to Vote…

…for at least one elective position anyway! In my post of Nov. 23rd, I mentioned that I had been selected as a finalist in a contest the Chicago Tribune was conducting. Based on my essay, I am one of the seven finalists for the honor of singing the refrain of “Angels We Have Heard on High” as a soloist at the Trib’s annual charity benefit Christmas Carol Concert on December 19th.

Last Thursday, I went into the Trib’s recording studio and videotaped my audition. The seven finalists’ auditions are now posted RIGHT HERE, so all are now welcome to see our auditions, read our essays, and cast their votes.

A few well-meaning friends have offered to help “stuff the ballot box” in my favor, and while I appreciate that sort of loyalty, I must ask folks to refrain from doing so. It is worth noting that these same folks at the Trib conducted a different contest last year for which I was also a finalist. I didn’t win, but I noted that at least one finalist was disqualified because the folks at the Trib figured out that some person or persons were trying to stuff the ballot box for them. So please, click on the link and enjoy the auditions and essays, and I will thank you for your support!
