For the 5th consecutive year, I marched in the Chicago St. Patrick’s Day Parade with the gang from Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding. In the past, we’ve always had a limo or a trolley bus to hang out in while waiting for the parade to start, but management decided not to spring for one this year. We took cabs to the holding area on Balbo near Michigan Ave. and stood around for the next 5 hours with our shillelaghs a-shivering. It was fun and colorful, but at a price! I brought the camera along.
It may take a while to load onto your screen, but…
This is the gifted Matt V. as Tina’s brother Joey. Matt will be leaving us in a few weeks and we’re going to miss him terribly! He is being carried here by Nicki, Jaclyn (yes, she left a few weeks ago, but she came back for the parade), Kelly A., and Kelly L.
Jackie and Nicki before we left for the parade site.
3 Celtic cuties.
This is a long line of vintage Deloreans trailing into the distance. One of them even had a “Mr. Fusion” attachment on the back. Gotta love the license plate – well, it is an Irish name, after all!
Hey, that’s me! It’s difficult to take photos during the parade because you’re busy trucking down the parade route and avoiding horse droppings. Luckily, meryddian was in attendance and took this photo. Thanks Mery!

Matt B. as Tony with me.
Alex caught in the act of taking a photo of himself and Pete B.
I don’t know these people, but it does remind one what a shame it was that Kiss never opened for Elvis. Dude on the right should have been wearing a shirt reading, “Irish me, I’m Kiss.”
This photo just cracks me up! Thank you Jackie!
Of course, Jackie and I have always been very close…
…as have Matt V. and Kelly L.
I thought someone should attempt to document the hordes of people waiting to get into the port-a-potties. Actually, I may be the only person who thought that, but here it is.
We still had a show to do last night after the parade, and I toted the camera around for part of the night. That’s CC as Grandma Nunzio with me outside the reception hall. I had been offering a reading from the book of Revelation to the few people in the lobby just before this was taken.
Grandma Nunzio again with her son, Anthony Nunzio Sr., as played by Teddy.
That’s our trusty bartender Jeff with Nona.
Alison (as Sister Terry) just can’t get enough of Grandma Nunzio!
