. . . That would have to be Shaun, of course. Big brother David is probably more well known, having been the heartthrob star of The Partridge Family TV series, but Shaun did all right for himself. I mentioned him last week at my day job, and I even remembered the title of his 1977 album, Born Late. This garnered the attention of coworker Sue, who brought in this photo of herself from long ago. She had somehow come up with a stand-up sign of a life-sized Shaun hawking that very album, so she posed with him, holding her own genuine copy.

I should add that I never owned any of Mr. Cassidy’s recordings myself, but my younger sister was quite the fan of his at the time, so I hope she’ll peek in on this journal and have a smile at this!

those cassidy boys

Any girl roughly my age got the benefit of both those boys! Personally, I was a fan of both thanks to the Partridge Family and The Hardy Boys (but I must admit, Parker Stevenson wasn't so bad either!)... although now, strangely enough, I find something about the grown-up Danny Bonaduce appealing -- probably because he reminds me of an ex-boyfriend, but that's a whole other story and I digress! ;-) Anyway, anyone besides me remember the TV show created by Shaun Cassidy back in 1995, "American Gothic"? It only lasted one season but I loved it! I should get the DVD sometime and see if I feel the same about it now... cas

Hey Deanie !

Ah,yes...I remember it well! I was 12 years old at the time and very much the traditional rocker. Shaun was WAY too "bubble-gum" for my tastes so I would always tease our younger sis when she played the album. I referred to him as "Sh*t Rancidy"... and the tv show he co-starred in as "Hardy Drew & The Nancy Boys"...Yeah,I was a pain-in-the-rear 12 year old brother ! Some would say it was good training in becoming a pain-in-the-rear 42 year old brother ! Anyway...Thanks for the memories...Keep em comin !FG

"Hardy Drew & The Nancy Boys"? That's FUNNY stuff! I don't remember hearing that at the time.

Hey Deanie II !

I should also point out that either you or "middle-sis" are in possession of a pic of our younger sis gazing longingly at a bedroom wall full of "Tiger Beat" posters...Featuring a prominent display of Mr Cassidy's "face-time"! I'm sure she'd get a kick out of seeing it again ! FG

Re: Hey Deanie II !

Hmmm... doesn't ring a bell... but if anyone can send me a copy, I'd be more than happy to share it with the wider world in this journal!
