This shot was taken where I spent most of the day today, which was the Bristol Renaissance Faire in Wisconsin, just across the border from Illinois. I’ll publish more photos and stories real soon, but I just wanted to offer a little taste of it before I hit the sack.

Renn Faire

Yesterday Mark and I went to the SilverLeaf Ren Faire in BattleCreek Michigan. Dave Dixon and his gang have been involved in that one for a couple of years and it was the first time we have been able to get to it. It was a blast! But the most exciting thing was seeing two of his children perform our story Peter Rabbit....almost word for word like we have done it for the past 27 years. I've been performing this story since I was 9 years old and I have never seen anyone else do it! They gave me credit by saying that their great Aunt Joelena told them the story. Great Aunt!!! Hey, wait a minute! But it was lovely. I'm so glad that you enjoyed something similar. We are going to Holly in September and Mark is bent on dressing in garb. For me, I like comfort.

Love ya Joe

Re: Renn Faire

Sounds like you had a blast! I would have loved to see Dix and his kids perform that act. Is he a regular at SilverLeaf every year? As for garb, I eschewed garb yesterday as well, only because I currently have very little that is presentable. I must get back to Holly myself. If I can put together a plan to do so, I'll let you know. Have fun out there!

Re: Renn Faire

Please let us know if you plan a trip to holly. We are going probably the 2nd or 3rd week in September but to see you again we would go twice!
Dix and his family has been a part of the Silver Leaf for a couple of years, but this is their last as they are moving to Georgia. Dix go his dream job running a drama department for a school district. We are very excited for him but will miss him.

Love Joe
